WELCOME TO AMIDAH
Amidah means "standing" in Hebrew, and is used for a series of prayers that are recited while standing up. We chose this name to represent our need to stand up to the rise in hatred toward Jewish people in Israel and around the world since the barbaric massacre of October 7th.

OUR GOALS
The goals of Amidah Albany are to stand up for the Jewish community of the Capital Region and beyond, to stand up for Israel, and to fight antisemitism in all its forms.
WE SUPPORT
Israel's right to exist and defend itself from attack
Initiatives to bring the hostages back home safely
Initiatives to fight misinformation and lies about Israel and the Jewish people.
Actions in the Capital Region focused on the above goals
